Twitter gone down repeatedly for many users on Tuesday morning.

Many visitors to the site - Read the Full Content, were greeted with an error message, and the mobile app was not loading tweets either.
Twitter said: "Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution."
The issues began around 8.15 AM GMT, and continued for more than two hours for some users. At 1 PM, the entire site was unavailable for some users once again.

Some users are reporting access to some services; some have no access at all. Reuters reports that the outages are centred in Europe, though Business Insider has confirmed users in North America are also experiencing problems.
There have also been issues sending messages, viewing images, and searching even when the social network is working.
Users who are able to access the site are using the hashtag #TwitterDown to discuss the outage.

There was also a 10-minute downtime on Monday, according to Twitter's status page.
The company used to use an image of a whale to indicate outages, known as the "fail whale." In 2013, Twitter killed off the fail whale, with senior vice president of engineering Christopher Fry telling Wired: "It had a long history and some of our users feel very connected to it. But in the end, it did represent a time when I don't think we lived up to what the world needed Twitter to be."

Tuesday's outage - over several hours - is significant, and will be highly embarrassing for the company. Its stock has been tanking in recent weeks, as founder Jack Dorsey, recently reinstated as CEO, attempts to turn the company's fortunes around.
