The interior can be cramped for taller adult passengers - especially in back - and maximum cargo capacity is below average. Colors: White Platinum, Ingot Silver, Karat Gold, Midnight Sapphire, Ruby Red, Silver Sand, Smoked Quartz, Tahitian Pearl, and Tuxedo Black. It's a refreshing change, but whether it is enough to elevate the 2016 Lincoln MKC to top-tier status in the small luxury crossover SUV category is another matter. But what's fancy on the MKC is some loads of gadgets plastered through its pockets, well save it for the Sync because this is too time-consuming for me.

The 2015 MKC comes with with a 2.0-liber, 240 hp turbocharged (EcoBoost) engine with front- or all-wheel-drive for $34,000 and $36,500; or a 2.3-liter, 285 hp, turbo four with all-wheel-drive for $42,000, including more standard equipment. The 2016 Lincoln MKC's sleek profile is further enhanced by a flowing roofline, bold shoulder creases and smartly sculpted body panels.

A five-passenger premium utility vehicle that has its origins with the Ford Escape, the MKC is the second of four all-new Lincoln vehicles due by 2016 Lincoln MKC Springfield Massachusetts. It's all, by the way, customizable, with a Lincoln Drive Control system that lets you program the 'D' and 'S' modes on the shift panel to call up a customizable combination of modes for powertrain and steering, as well as ride. With the transmission in Drive mode, slow and delayed downshifts caused some aggravation, but choosing the Sport button or using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel resolved it. When in Sport mode, the transmission shifts crisply and holds gears longer, making the MKC feel more responsive. If Lincoln finds initial sales of about 2,000 units a month are tapering, it may get even more aggressive on lease prices.
